His Excellency Shri. Ram Nath Kovindji, Honourable President of India visited Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra on 25th December and 26th December 2019. Tamil Nadu Governor Shri. Banwarilal Purohit, Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister V. M. Rajalakshmi and many dignitaries received him on 25th evening. The President spent nearly thirty minutes on the Rock Memorial where he spent some time in meditation. The picturesque background of the Memorial, the three seas and the inexplicable scintillating ambience filled with tranquility and the beauty of Sunset must have impressed our Honorable President as he made a mention about the unfading serenity of this wonderful place of pilgrimage during the course of his address. He offered His Pranams to Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother and Swamiji. His visit would be rejoiced in the days to come.

Honourable President of India addressed the enlightened gathering of Dignitaries, Kendra Karyakarthas, Well-wishers, Teachers and Students at Eknath Hall, Vivekanandapuram, Kanyakumari on 26th December, 2019 during the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Ma. Balakrishnanji, Ma.Pravin Dabholkarji and other Senior Members of Kendra were present. During his thought-provoking address His Excellency told that Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a distinct place of pilgrimage which ever emits positive vibrations. It leads the unrest mind towards tranquility. The spiritual magnetism of the Rock transformed Swamiji into a Global Messenger of Bharatiya Sanskriti after His Meditation. As Swamiji unequivocally told we have to give back our nation its lost individuality. Swami Vivekananda uttered in front of the world religious leaders that he was proud to belong to a religion which has taught tolerance and universal acceptance. His Excellency paid glorious tributes to Ma. Eknathji the Chief Architect behind Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra for his untiring efforts in materializing this magnificent project involving the entire nation by his organizational skills. With the spirit of true Karmayogi, he materialized his chosen mission. The Hon'ble President also mentioned about the establishment of the living memorial of Swamiji-Vivekananda Kendra and acknowledged its services and its expansion. His Excellency's concluding message is very relevant. He told Vivekananda Rock Memorial stands as a confluence of diversities and teaches us ever to expand our small individual identities. He emphatically told that Swami Vivekananda's message would perennially inspire the people in the days to come. The President also visited Ramayana Darshanam and Bharat Mata Sadanam and witnessed the Audio-Visual Programme.

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti Arunachal Pradesh launched a Mobile Pathological Laboratory on 23rd November 2019. The launching program was organized at New Chingsa Rang Fraa Mandir, Kharsang of Changlang district. After seeking blessings from Almighty Rang Fraa the priest sprinkled holy water and chanted Rang Fraa Prarthana. The program was attended by the villagers of New Chingsa village. Dr. Vijay Tungar, Consultant Pathologist of Hedgewar Blood Bank, Nagpur, Sri Nokchan Songthing, Tirap Vibhag Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra Arunachal Prant and Sri Shyamal Chakroborty, Principal, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kharsang were present during the program. Dr. Vijay Tungar explained about the Mobile Pathological Laboratory and its benefits. In the mobile lab 36 various blood tests can be done accurately at a very short time and even printed reports of the result can be generated. This handy laboratory will be very useful especially for the remote villages, where diagnostic facilities are not available. After the meeting, eight blood samples were examined for blood glucose by the Swasthya Seva Team. Reports were given to the patients within 15 minutes.

This is to be mentioned that Dr. Vinay Gowardhan, an octogenarian Doctor from Nagpur donated the device for the needy patients of Arunachal Pradesh. The induction of this laboratory with the latest technology will definitely boost up the existing mobile medical facilities being rendered by Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti in the eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh since last two decades.

 Aravinda Keerti Mudra Award was conferred to Ma.Lakshmi Didi on 19th December for her extensive selfless service for the upliftment of the common masses especially women. The award was conferred by the Aravinda Charitable Society, Palikkathodu,Kottayam. Swami Saradananda,Acharya of Chinmaya International Foundation Piravom who was the - Chief Guest , presented the award in the presence of other dignitaries like Dr K.P. Kylasanatha Pillay -Senior advocate of Supreme Court of India , Sri Anirudhan-librarian of M.G University and the Principal Smt Kavitha R.C of Aravinda Vidya Mandiram. The function was held in the mentioned Higher Secondary school run by the Society at Palikkathodu. The award consists of a gold medal and a momento.

Ma. Rekha Didi briefed the Honourable Vice Chancellor about the significance of the celebration and also outlined the multifarious service activities undertaken by Vivekananda Kendra in various parts of our country.
